Wallpaper Maths: Pattern Repeats, Drops and Roll Yield

Original quantitative topic practice in English. All 24 questions are included in a shuffled order. Each question supplies its own data and model assumptions; use only those assumptions. Choose one answer. Practice target: 20/24, not an official examination pass mark. Keep full intermediate precision. These exercises cover the calculation scope in the title; they do not constitute a full Red Seal examination, trade qualification, site design or operating specification.

Cover a continuous wall width 8 m and height 2.4 m with paper 0.5 m wide. Each drop requires 0.2 m total top/bottom allowance. The straight-match pattern repeat is 0.64 m: round each drop length UP to a whole repeat. A roll is 10 m. No opening deductions, half-drop matching or reuse of short remnants is allowed. Calculate the drop length before repeat matching in metres. Keep intermediate values unrounded; round the final answer to 4 decimal places if needed.
