Cabinet Maths: Edge-Banding Schedules and Roll Purchases

Cabinet Maths: Edge-Banding Schedules and Roll Purchases

Original quantitative topic practice in English. All 24 questions are included in a shuffled order. Each question supplies its own data and model assumptions; use only those assumptions. Choose one answer. Practice target: 20/24, not an official examination pass mark. Keep full intermediate precision. These exercises cover the calculation scope in the title; they do not constitute a full Red Seal examination, trade qualification, site design or operating specification.

Make 30 rectangular panels, each 850×425 mm. Band both long edges and one short edge of every panel. Each separate edge strip needs 40 mm EXTRA TOTAL for trimming. Add 5% reserve to all required strip lengths, then buy whole 50 m rolls. Joining strips is allowed; ignore roll-end unusable remnants. Calculate the total trimming allowance in metres. Keep intermediate values unrounded; round the final answer to 4 decimal places if needed.
