Patterned Roll Flooring: Repeat Alignment and Cut-Length Rounding

Patterned Roll Flooring: Repeat Alignment and Cut-Length Rounding

Original quantitative learning practice in English. All 24 questions are included. Four supplied cases exercise six related calculation targets; they form one topic, not four separate tests. Every question includes the complete initial data. Use the stated model and retain intermediate precision. Choose one answer. Learning target: 20/24, not an official pass mark. This bank covers the calculation topic in its title; it is not a complete professional examination, design approval or operating instruction.

A rectangular floor is 8.5 m long and 5.9 m wide. A 2 m wide patterned roll is laid in strips running only along the room length. Each strip needs at least 0.175 m extra at BOTH ends. Every strip must start at the same pattern phase; the supplier starts the first cut at that phase. To keep every subsequent cut at that phase, each consumed cut length must be a whole multiple of the 0.76 m pattern repeat. No reuse of excess material or joins within strips is allowed. Calculate the extra length per strip caused only by pattern alignment in m. Keep intermediate values unrounded; round the final result to four decimal places if necessary.
